We are seeking a Senior Data Planner to join this well-established CRM, customer engagement and data agency. You will work on one of the agency's major accounts - that client is specifically within the mobile industry and you will be taking lead on client engagement.

The role will be working on campaigns and analytical projects. You'll also work within a division of around 10+ people making up the Data Planning and Analytics teams, who can offer knowledge share on current data stacks and cutting edge strategic approaches to data strategy and planning. As a senior member within the team, you will be looking after a more junior Data Planner, supporting their development and growth too, as well as overseeing their projects and how they might feed into the bigger picture, more complex project you will be owning.

The typical day-to-day will involve managing multiple campaign planning projects and be seen as the client's first port of call for all data planning enquiries.

You will work with data from digital as well as traditional sources (market, customer), to build databases, segmentations and predictive models. Technology and insight are at the heart of the team, and you are encouraged to work with as many cutting edge tools and techniques as possible; it's all about learning and forward thinking here!

As always in agency roles, you will be client facing; so the ability and desire to delight and exceed our client's expectation through the delivery of cutting edge data strategies should be present.

You will need to be an experienced data planner, with a controlled, confident approach, guiding this valuable client through an exciting transitional period. Therefore, pragmatism, organization and excellent project management skills are required, as is the passion and hunger to really make a difference and develop a relationship with the client contacts involved.


  • Ideally a strong agency data planning background, demonstrating good stake holder management and the ability to work to set time frames.
  • You should be experienced in delivering data planning for large volume Direct Marketing programmes - any recent digital experience would be highly advantageous.
  • You will have skills in developing data targeting strategies, managing data purchasing, delivery and processes.
  • You will also be highly analytical, with experience in developing reporting dashboards; illustrating campaign effectiveness, customer profiling and modelling and segmentation.
  • You will have some experience in working with third party data partners / providers / agencies.
  • You will also have developed innovative data capture and enhancement strategies that fuel greater customer understanding and facilitate increasingly relevant and timely contact.
  • You will know how to develop statistically robust test and learn strategies within direct communication channels.
