It’s an exciting time to join them as they’re going through an unprecedented period of change: not only have they won new contracts throughout the UK in the leisure sector, but they’ve increased their business streams too, to include children’s centres, libraries, extreme sports and events & venues. And as a charitable social enterprise, everything they do is aligned to their community-led values.
This is a real hands-on role where the variety will keep you on your toes. On any given day you could be working alongside their leisure centres advising them on web improvements, campaign and content ideas as well as managing a number of their specialist suppliers to improve the customer / user experience. You’ll work closely with their SEO and PPC agencies on brand campaigns incorporating the latest innovations and developments; and with their web development and design agencies on new projects, redesigns, test plans and maintenance - so it goes without saying that you’ll have a good working technical knowledge of all things digital and web-related.
Extremely confident across all digital channels and with excellent communication skills, you’ll be more than comfortable advising, and sometimes challenging, everyone from leisure centre staff to senior management. Currently in a similar role either agency side or as part of an in-house marketing, web / digital department, you’ll be passionate about what you do, and keep abreast of trends and innovations in the digital space as well as being up-to-date with your understanding of SEO, PPC including analytics skills and basic HTML coding. Aside from the website responsibilities, good all-round online marketing skills, including understanding of ecommerce, email marketing, mobile, data and CRM, will be of real benefit. This is a challenging role and will suit someone who thrives working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
