Marketing Manager - Mortlake - £28k - £32k + Benefits

Lamb Personnel are looking for an experienced Senior Marketing professional to join our client, a busy and well established Media, Publishing, Conference and Events company based in Mortlake.

This role will report directly to the Managing director while working very closely with individuals across the business in client services and sales, and content and production teams. This role would suit a commercially focused marketing and communications executive, looking for the next step in their career.

You will work across three core media brands and will be responsible for creating and delivering a content led engagement strategy that meets the businesses commercial and engagement goals. Each brand contains a range of products and a mix of magazines, conferences, networking events, websites, research and micro-events, all of which are targeted at a diverse b2b audience. This role represents a genuinely rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly capable, initiative rich and creative marketer to build and deliver a marketing programme from the ground up.

Hours of business: Monday to Friday 9.30 - 17.30

Key areas of responsibility:

Marketing and communications

  • Developing and implementing a marketing plan across the business for all products and services including, but not exclusively;
    • Magazines, research and reports
    • Conferences
    • Networking events
    • Micro-events i.e. roundtables etc.
    • Job board
    • network partner account
  • Developing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple products and brands
  • Identifying target audience for specific products and services and producing comprehensive marketing programme across multiple platforms ie email, direct mail, phone, social media, partnerships etc
  • Agreeing on campaign timelines with activity stakeholders (i.e. conferences, networking events, magazines etc) internally. Managing campaigns effectively ensuring that internally everyone has visibility of their actions and involvement and adhering to planned timelines
  • Building email templates for all activities. Carrying out AB testing on template ideas during campaigns and responding to results
  • Working with internal activity stakeholders on production of all marketing materials and literature, ensuring brand consistency and messaging is maintained
  • Involved in preparation of all event/activity materials including delegate badges, feedback forms, sign-in sheets, event signage, header slides etc
  • Working closely with digital content and marketing executive on promotion all activities via the businesses social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo and any others deemed relevant
  • Providing feedback to the business and management team on individual campaign success, areas to improve and develop
  • Building and managing audience surveys on behalf of clients for report/research projects. Also conducting audience/community surveys to help formulate strategy and new ideas
  • Negotiating contra deals, alliances and media partnerships with external associations to support awareness of products and services, particularly conferences
  • Attending the company's own networking events and also other industry events to cultivate relationships and represent the company in a positive manner
  • Assisting managing director with organising and hosting ah-hoc events/activities
  • Project work relating to marketing systems and solutions, ensuring the business has the right technology and tools to deliver its goals

Data management

  • Overall responsibility for the Salesforce database ensuring that data integrity is maintained to the highest level
  • Working closely with managing director to develop Salesforce taxonomy framework and continually developing processes
  • Be responsible for identifying gaps in database, maintaining data quality and working with the team to grow the database around relevant segments
  • Assisting with in-house training for all staff on Salesforce best practices and policies
  • Working with external providers on ad-hoc data collection and improvement projects
  • Liaising with the company's Salesforce consultant as and when required

Digital/online

  • Responsible for company website and any subsequent websites built for specific brands
  • Main point of contact for external digital agency including design and development, bug fixes and any other requirements
  • With the support of Digital content and marketing exec, monitoring website performance using Google analytics and making suggestions for SEO and PPC campaigns
  • Training internal staff on website 'best practice' and use
