We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Risk Analyst to join the Model Management & Integration team where you will be a key point of contact for Global models used within SGCB, liaising regularly with colleagues in Santander Group. You will ensure an adequate level of integration of models in management and business processes as well as controlling the correct use of the models whilst ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met.

Models will encompass rating, scoring, parameter estimation and pricing models across SBB, SCCB and SGCB. You will provide support to the Delegated Model Owner for Credit and Counterparty Risk models ensuring that all regulatory deadlines and model plans are achieved.

As a Senior Risk Analyst, your main responsibilities will be

* To support the development of annual model plans and action plans tracking progress through the year

* Ensuring adequate model monitoring, controls and reporting are in place and to improve rating culture

* Contributing to the annual update of use tests, dossiers and other documentation for all models

* Supporting system migration and model implementation

* Building working relationships with model users and with model owners keeping stakeholders informed of model related activities

* Presenting reports to the appropriate risk committees, demonstrating a balanced, informative and sound understanding of risks

Minimum skills and experience required

* Knowledge of regulatory capital reporting and requirements and changes to the regulatory landscape

* Highly developed presentational and business writing skills including experience of interpreting and writing technical documentation

* Ability to communicate both orally and written form in a confident, articulate, structured, balanced and coherent manner

* Experience of change management including implementing new processes and improving existing ones

* Degree level education (or equivalent) ideally in a Quantitative subject

* Experience working in a Banking / Risk Management / Audit or equivalent environment
