My client is a global leader in business information and intelligence, empowering clients to make business critical decisions in a changing market.
An opportunity has arisen within their legal services department, which helps legal professionals to grow their businesses.
About the role:
This role supports the Market Development and Strategy team in the growth of the business through robust research and analysis with high quality output.
-Structuring and leading work streams as part of a small and medium scale projects.
-Developing product and customer growth strategies.
-Leading M&A pipeline development.
-Supporting elements of strategy planning process.
-Leading projects to solve important operational issues, such as pricing and GTM optimisation.
-Planning and executing primary and secondary research and analysis to support strategic projects and initiatives, distilling findings and implications on the business.
-Creating high-quality business cases, board papers, strategy presentations and inputting to thought leadership.
-Building and maintaining overall market and customer-segment specific fact bases, comprising marketing, customer, competitor and internal performance insight.
-Supporting segment directors in gathering and synthesising customer insight, producing clear outputs to help communicate this internally and externally.
-Interacting effectively with mid and senior-level stakeholders.
-Managing virtual teams or junior staff on work stream.
-Reporting into the Strategy Director and receiving general instruction on day to day work, new assignments and BAU tasks.
Key skills and experience:
-Structured thinker and problem solver.
-Proven analytical and quantitative skills.
-Proficient in planning and conducting primary research, including interview programmes and surveys, plus secondary desk research.
-Strong individual work planning and organisational skills.
-Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment.
-Resourceful - able to find solutions where they are not obvious.
-Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent.
-5-6 years' experience in strategy, corporate finance or management consulting.
-Strategy consulting experience is preferred.
-Experience in a start-up capacity is preferred.
-Strong business acumen.
-Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
