Friday Media Group is an established web based company with an international presence (we have offices in the UK, Spain and the US). We operate over 70 websites, many of which are market leaders, generating in excess of 12 million visits a month. We’re embarking on an ambitious growth and expansion plan, so it’s a really exciting time to join the company. We’re recruiting for a Search Marketing Executive to join our highly talented team of search marketers.

The Role:

We’re looking for a talented, enthusiastic individual to help manage and deliver our group wide SEO strategy. You’ll be part of an exciting search marketing team, but also benefit from the breadth of expertise and great people at Friday Media Group. This role is all encompassing, and will offer you the opportunity to help drive growth across the business, using a wide ranging SEO skillset.

Reporting to the SEO Manager, but assisting the whole team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking keyword research

  • Carrying out on-site audits, with a focus on improving site quality and organic traffic

  • Metadata optimisation

  • Helping deliver content strategy for our focus brands

  • Undertaking outreach campaigns to help drive quality backlinks

  • Content marketing

  • Helping deliver other wide ranging link building campaigns

  • Regular audits of our blog content

  • Carrying out website checks as part of site migrations

  • Making recommendations from a technical standpoint

  • Communicating with other team members to provide SEO recommendations and advice regarding strategies.

  • Analyse the SEO industry and identify threats and opportunities

  • Sharing SEO knowledge and ideas

  • Assisting with training of other team members, both inside and outside of SEO team

 

Skills:

We are looking for talented individuals with drive and ambition, who will stand out from the crowd and really help our sites grow. We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Essential:

  • Good writing skills

  • Level of proficiency with Excel

  • Self-motivated

Advantageous:

  • Some SEO experience

  • Experience of SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMrush and Google Analytics

  • Full UK driving license
