We're working on behalf of one of the largest Retailers in the UK based in Central London, looking for an SEO Manager to join their team.

The company prides themselves on being a great place to work, they have just brought on a new Head of Digital and are in the process of bringing SEO in-house. They are looking for an in-house SEO expert to work with multiple members of the marketing team to improve SEO and raise the profile on the business using Organic search.

The Retailer has evolved massively over the last couple of years and has grown rapidly by coming together and really focusing on the customer and it's needs.

They are looking to expand their teams significantly in the coming year they have recently revamped their leadership team and are looking to grow the Digital team significantly as they look to bring SEO, Paid Social, SEO & Display in-house.

The SEO Manager is responsible for maximizing the performance of search campaigns through monitoring and optimizing campaigns and helping to alleviate other team member workload. This role will work extensively with the wider Digital team to maximise the performance of content and raise the SEO ranking of the business organically.

As an SEO Manager, you need to function well as part of the team but also have the ability to work independently whilst communicating effectively and being open to guidance and advice from more experienced colleagues.

The role is responsible for:

  • Execute website improvements including written content improvements, content publication, meta-data optimisation and image optimisation
  • Work with support networks within the business, such as technical support teams to execute technical fixes to websites
  • Engage with, and interpret, data from reporting platforms on website performance
  • Pro-actively seek opportunities to make site improvements based on analytics insights as well as industry best-practices
  • Work with and support brand stakeholders in executing brand digital strategies on-site and in other owned digital platforms

Headquartered in the central London they are easily commutable from all mainline London stations.

Experience Required:

  • Strong experience in website content and online marketing copywriting
  • Understanding and ability to follow brand guidelines on tone of voice
  • Strong understanding of website management principles
  • Understanding of principles behind Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
  • Strong use of CMSs (content management systems)
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics and/or similar website tracking technologies
  • Use of Google webmaster console
  • Understanding of project management principles and a strong drive to deliver results

Desirable:

  • Experience of generating and managing XML sitemaps
  • Umbraco CMS experience a plus
  • Use of SEO industry standard toolsets such as Screaming frog and Majestic a bonus
  • Knowledge of website user-experience best practises and conversion rate optimisation techniques

** Must have the necessary visas to live and work in the EU**
