My client, are a successful tour operator based in Essex is currently seeking a Senior Marketing Executive to join their expanding Sales & Marketing team. The Senior Marketing Executive will be responsible for managing the Company's key marketing and functions. This will include all productions and advertising for both consumers and trade, aswell as identifying and developing new marketing opportunities in order to maximise sales. This role would suit an experienced Marketing Executive looking to take the next step into a senior position.
*Liaise with Media Agent/Media regarding National and Regional advertising.
*Ensuring that companies style/content guidelines are maintained working to strict timescales.
*Manage all productions in association with design team and as specified by The Head of Marketing. These will include brochures, Compass loyalty magazine, Trade Talk magazine and direct mail pieces.
*Extensive copy writing for marketing materials, adverts, brochures, direct marketing pieces and website.
*Ensure production pieces for the trade are regularly updated with latest sales promotions and distributed to Agency Sales and relevant personnel working on board the vessels.
*Develop new Marketing Initiatives and explore new opportunities.
*Assist PR agency with organising Press Days to gain maximum PR exposure .
*Good knowledge of competitors marketing campaigns and latest sales pieces.
*Check Marketing Budget allocation for Head of Marketing, accounts department and Commercial Director.
*Ensure that all Marketing administrative functions are actioned by the Sales & Marketing Executives and Administrator and that deadlines are strictly adhered to.
*Working with the Digital Marketing Executive and Website Content Executive
*Working with the Graphic Design Manager, ensure that a cohesive and integrated Marketing policy is maintained.
*Attend Trade and Consumer events to represent the Company. These will often be during evenings.
*To have a full UK driving licence and own transport.
*Previous experience in a Marketing and production role (minimum 3 years).
*Experience working in the Travel industry (preferred but not essential).
*Assertive and decisive.
*Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
*Strong interpersonal skills.
*Planning & organising skills.
*Meeting strict deadlines.
*Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
*Creative writing skills for brochure/production copy.
*Flexibility- the role may require some weekends and evenings/overseas travel.
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary OF £25K - £30K depending on experience.
