The VP, Engineering / CTO (Software) Role:
The VP, Engineering will lead the engineering departments and is responsible for the organisation, and execution of new product development and innovation, as well as sustaining engineering projects. Crucial aspects of this role are: fostering innovative and efficient teams who have ownership and pride in their output, enabling fast delivery of quality solutions and balancing the needs of business with the output of the teams.
Responsibilities include the following:.
+ Provide organisational, strategic and operational leadership across the engineering teams
+ Contribute to architectural and technology vision
+ Ensure the teams are working productively and effectively
+ Oversee all recruitment and promotion decisions
+ Promote personal development and ensure team members have the opportunity to grow
+ Build out a high performing engineering team and culture
+ Help foster a sense of belonging and ownership within the Engineering teams
+ Work with senior leadership to create the vision of the engineering department
+ Working with architects to improve and develop software and development offering
+ Interface with product development team to address gaps in RM technology vision
+ Work with other dev teams across RM to create synergy and improve process.
Required Skills and Experience:
+ Excellent industry and product knowledge
+ Experience working in a complex Ad Tech (or similar) environment
+ Can work in fast-moving environment to achieve clarity and solutions on complex issues
+ Prepared for some flexibility on working hours to accommodate global nature of the business
+ Proven ability to manage distant and high level relationships with shared business owners in other regions
