The Web Analytics Manager Role:
The Web Analytics Manager will be responsible for directly managing web analytics staff and developing our Website Analytics offering including developing new Analytics services. The web analytics manager will also have responsibility for planning and implementing complex Web Analytics projects for clients. The Web Analytics Manager will have excellent working knowledge of analytics platforms including Google Analytics and tag management solutions including Google Tag Manager.
What you'll be doing in the Web Analytics Manager role:
+ Quality assurance across our web analytics projects
+ Developing web analytics strategies based on agreed client objectives
+ Implement tracking and advanced Google Analytics features using Google Tag Manager
+ Implement and set up Google Analytics accounts, including advanced features
+ Build reports and dashboards using built-in tools and the Google Analytics API
+ Phone and Face-to-face Communication with clients, responsibility for managing projects and setting expectations
+ Act as point of escalation for any risks on Web Analytics projects
+ Regularly produce content, i.e. blogs and webinars, around website tracking.
+ Writing web analytics proposals for client work
+ Completing PDPs with your line reports and setting team key objectives
+ Complete training for the web analysts on new software and industry developments
+ Work with the Head of Insight and Analytics to develop the web analytics offering
+ Trialing, selecting and training staff on new pieces of software to improve the web analytics offering
+ Managing a Senior Web Analyst and Web Analyst
Education and Training:
+ Degree educated
+ Training completed on use of specialist technologies including Data Management Platforms (DMPs) would be an advantage
+ Training on ad serving and tracking solutions including DoubleClick Campaign Manager and Google Tag Manager
+ Google IQ Qualified
Knowledge and Experience:
+ Minimum 3 years working in the Web Analytics field
+ Extensive knowledge of Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager
+ Experience of using attribution tools to fit a client’s needs
+ Experience of using other analytics packages e.g. Mixpanel, Adobe, Webtrends would be an advantage
+ Excellent Excel knowledge
+ Use of Google Analytics 360 would be an advantage
+ Good knowledge of website ux best practice
+ Highly organised
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Problem analysis and problem solving
+ The ability to delegate
