Our client are Protection specialists; their clients are mostly Law Firms or Trademark Attorneys, but they also work directly with some of the biggest global brand owners. They undertake detailed Internet and telephone research and provide written reports based on their findings that will shape the future growth of the brand and may be used in court.  If you have an eye for detail, love researching and have the confidence to work undercover, they would love to hear from you. 

THE ROLE: TRAINEE INTELLETUAL PROPERTY INVESTIGATOR

As an Intellectual Property Investigator you will make extensive Internet research and utilise a wide variety of databases to trace individuals and gather company information on trading entities. You will be expected to carry out a variety of missions on a day-to-day basis to covertly extract information from targets by telephone, email, social media sites, trading platforms and occasionally face-to-face. 

This is a fantastic opportunity; you’ll be provided with full training by the team and there will be scope for promotion as the business grows.  

This role would suit a recent graduate.

REQUIREMENTS:

You must have the following to be successful in this application:

•	Have a minimum of a 2.1 university degree or similar; 
•	Be well organised and systematic;
•	Strong communication skills, especially confidence in talking on the phone;
•	Excellent research skills, including the ability to absorb information;
•	Excellent written and spoken English (professional level); 
•	Have sharp attention to detail;
•	Be proactive, bold and not easily discouraged;
•	Be fluent in at least one other language. Our preferences are Spanish, Russian, Polish, and/or Italian;
•	Be eligible to work in the UK.

PROBATION PERIOD:

Successful candidates will be on a probation period of 6 months. If in that period you’re able to develop &amp; meet your given targets, we’re happy with your results and you love what you do with us : we’ll take you off probation and you’ll be an official member of the team. 

REMUNERATION AND WORK HOURS:

The Intellectual Property Investigator role is for 38 work hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting at £20,000. The role does need occasional flexibility to work outside these hours or days as the cases may dictate. This full-time position gets at least 20 days annual leave, and all bank holidays on top.
