They have recently acquired the largest automotive aftermarket specialist in the UK, with 3,500 employees and 90 branches nationwide. Last year, the UK company`s turnover rose 45% to £272 million, while in the first six months of 2011 they posted a 30% increase in sales to £164 million. They are on track to achieve another record year in terms of, sales and investment into their infrastructure, with annualised sales exceeding £400 million.

The Opportunity:

Commercial Head of Marketing

They are looking for a talented Head of Marketing to join one of the fastest growing companies in the UK. This is a fabulously varied role, as Head of Marketing you will operate as part of a strong marketing team and maintain and develop key relationships within operations and sales. Whilst you will have the support of a wider team, you will drive and influence the Company`s corporate identity through consistent application of brand values.

Key accountabilities

Responsible for marketing of the company products and services across Trade and Retail channels
Develop annual Marketing Plans in conjunction with Product and Sales Teams
Define and manage the marketing budget
Liaison with internal and supplier product teams to identify key Sales and Marketing messages whilst ensuring technical accuracy
Management of the companies own Brands
Presenting creative concepts and executions to stakeholders
To write the main daily performance message for the company`s Sales Teams, interpreting key performance indictors to motivate and inspire.
Negotiation with suppliers of marketing goods and services to ensure best value is achieved for all marketing collateral

Proven ability to develop and execute effective Marketing strategies
Experience of managing and supervising staff within a commercial organisation
Ability to extract and analyse data to develop targeted incentives
An understanding of the dynamics of the Automotive Aftermarket
Capable of high quality output in a fast paced and challenging environment (they want you to do the challenging)
Excellent influencing skills with real gravitas and the ability to manage both internal and external partners
