Job Description

Head of Marketing & Communications

Fircroft is an award winning Business to Business Service Provider specialists, one of the largest and fastest growing independently owned companies in the UK.

 

The purpose of this role is to develop and manage a new marketing and communications department. To lead a department capable of delivering the Fircroft Group marketing and communication strategy.  To improve brand value across domestic and international business units, both internally and externally.

 

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

 

Managing eMarketing

 

a)      Responsible for online marketing services and enhancing performances through: SEO, PPC, managing email marketing and other types of online marketing campaigns/advertising, including job boards.

b)      Responsible for defining business requirements, document scope and co-ordinate the development of online content, managing all eMarkeing activities.

c)      To substantially develop and update the company website. Developing client and contractor portals to improve user functionality.

 

Communications

 

a)      Oversee internal communication including the Intranet and the internal newsletter across Fircroft Group.

b)      Oversee external communication including press releases and website forwards

c)      Submissions to Industry Awards.

 

Advertising

 

a)      Management of the day to day relationship with outsourced marketing agency or in-house, including creative briefing, target setting, monitoring and assessment.

b)      Managing production and design of all sales and marketing promotional material and gifts.

c)      Introducing, implementing, overseeing and hosting PR & company events including staff conferences, contractor events and supplier conferences.

 

Research

 

a)      Undertaking customer and client surveys and providing reports on improvement needs and success factors.

b)      Market research including primary and secondary sources, collating, analysing and reporting on findings.

c)      Benchmarking and competitor analysis.

 

Skills/ Knowledge

·         Successful track record in professional or business service sector, B2B, B2C, SME environment, working for a global or multisite UK office is highly desirable.

·         Strong background in defining and developing a structure/strategy within a multi site professional business.

·         Successful track record of establishing and managing a small team.

·         Excellent skills in SEO, PPC, email marketing and other online marketing techniques.

·         Proven successful track record of marketing campaigns.

 

·         Creative flare for developing online marketing strategies.

·         Understanding of the importance of web usability, accessibility & standards.

·         Strong detailed knowledge of intranet/web design, e-marketing and internet technology platforms, marketing and communications.

·         High competence in use of MS office suite.

·         Proven track record of managing a marketing budget

 

 

Additional Information

You will be required on occasions to travel to the various offices within the UK.  Full UK driving licence is essential.

Hosting core entertainment events will involve your working outside core working office hours from time to time.
