Job Description

Business Development Director - Manchester

Our client is a leadingCommunication, brand strategy and creative agency who can boast a proud list of major UK and international clients.

We are looking to recruit a highly intelligent, experienced candidate who has a proven track record in both client development and new client acquisition. They will be able to make intelligent use of the resources available in the agency. They will have a substantial working knowledge of Brand Strategy alongside a working knowledge of marketing and communication. We are looking for someone who has experience in B2B, preferably with knowledge of B2C and FMCG brands in addition.

The successful candidate will possess passion for all aspects of brand strategy, with working experience of project management and marketing. The client base ranges across Retail, B2B, FMCG, and many others. The applicant will have the opportunity to work alongside design and brand strategy professionals in the Manchester office with a hands on team, but part of a bigger international entity.

Key Skills and attributes

The Candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated and proactive, with the ability to be persistent and commercial, but also demonstrating empathy for the client and their business. We are not looking for slick sales patter, but an intelligent and value-added approach, based on knowledge and insights. Excellent written, presentation and oral communications skills* An excellent work rate and the ability to multi-task* The confidence and presence to work in a challenging but rewarding environment, to be an individually driven, but able to work within a team, with all that entails on a day to day basis.

The candidate will work independently and with the MD, will be warm and empathic, but with business sense and pragmatism.
