Our client is a leading marketing services provider and is looking for a talented Account Manager to join their busy and successful team. Your main focus will be to develop and manage mutually profitable and sustainable relationships with their clients.
Key responsibilities:
Customer service - to ensure the consistent delivery of first rate service to clients against expectations
Relationship management - to ensure you know your clients, understand their needs and be able to offer sensible, impartial advice built on a shared ownership of deliverables and objectives
Delivery of results - You will provide timely accurate reports including status reports to account team and senior management and deliver services within budgets
Business Development - Evaluate how you can help your clients alongside other teams to identify and deliver further mutual benefits as appropriate
Solution delivery - Support the timely and efficient delivery of new initiatives through understanding projects and dealing with concerns raised by your clients
Leading and managing performance - working with the team to plan and organise resources to deliver operational requirements. Ensure targets are achieved and measurements are accurate. Guide and support specific team and individual performance where required.
Personal development - understand the role and ensure skills, knowledge and attitude are in place to deliver.
Systems and Process - develop, manage and maintain the account plan
For this role:
You need to understand business strategy, performance goals and drivers and the sector within which the company operate. Be fully conversant with the products and services provided and how they combine to create an overall marketing service for their clients. Know who the competitors are, their strengths and weaknesses, products and services.
You should understand the collection of data for marketing via lifestyle and other methods.
You understand suppression data and the key suppliers
You know the details of data processing for marketing
You know how to collect, present, analyse and draw conclusions from financial data, understanding terms such as gross profit, margin etc in the context of marketing services.
You are an active listener with strong interpersonal skills. You have good judgement and are adept at managing relationships. You plan and organise, delegate when necessary using your initiative and both your presentation and problem-solving skills are excellent.
