Account Director - Public Relations Company - Berkshire - salary circa £40-£45k plus annual performance bonus -25 day?s holidays + benefits
Company
A great opportunity exists for a confident and enthusiastic Account Director with a strong technology background to join an energetic Public Relations and Communications consultancy company which was established in 2001. They are very well versed in delivering great PR and they create great campaigns for a wide range of clients both in the UK and internationally.
Role
The ideal candidate would be a talented individual who would join an existing team, working primarily on a flagship account (a London 2012 sponsor) which would include a mix of corporate, B2B and technology PR. In addition the portfolio for this role includes a major telecoms service provider, a financial technology vendor and a leading company in web analytics.
The successful candidate should also be well-positioned to quickly grow their own team, by working with a company director to win and embed new business. You will be passionate about new business as the company is looking to broaden the team with a telecoms focus and you will lead this growth portfolio.
You will report directly to an Associate Company Director and be initially responsible for the day-to-day line management of one Account manager and one Account Executive with a view to growing the team as soon as possible.
Candidate Skills
A track record of successful management of B2B accounts with a strong technology bias.
4-7 years experience in working on top tier technology brands and be able to demonstrate a passion for media and influencer relations and international campaign management.
Proven ability to manage campaigns across multiple territories, alongside convincing relationships with top tier technology, business, IT channel and key vertical media and will have managed or worked in a major press office.
A thorough knowledge of social media.
A good people and client manager with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
A passion for technology and a hunger to achieve top tier results for your clients by working with teams across multiple countries.
Strong organisational skills and client consultancy are a must, alongside good writing skills.
An ability to coach junior members of the team to achieve media relations excellence.
Requirement on occasion to travel internationally on client business
You must be eligible to live and work in the UK to be considered for this role.
Package
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary of £40-£45k (dependent on experience) + annual bonus based on business and performance + 25 days holiday + other benefits.
