Great opportunity at one of the country’s leading regional law firms!!

Growth over recent years necessitates expansion of the in-house marketing team with a marketing executive sought to work with the Head of Marketing and marketing assistant. The firm’s marketing is entering a new phase of development with the recent appointment of a full service marketing and a legal media relations agency.

The role
§ Involvement in the planning and implementation of marketing plans at a department and practice level
§ Primary contact point for the firm’s web site including regular liaison with nominated lawyers in each department with web site responsibility and with the external web hosting agency. The successful candidate will also operate the content management system, updating content on a regular basis
§ Working with practice areas to prepare submissions to The Legal 500 and Chambers. Currently around 20 submissions per directory are prepared.
§ Assistance with the firm’s media relations push
§ Maintain a databank of up to date documents and slides to assist lawyers to prepare draft pitches and presentations
§ Help the marketing assistant with the smooth running of the events programme and to get involved with organising the firm’s summer and Christmas staff activities
§ Principle point of contact for the production and printing of smaller scale marketing documents e.g. profile sheets and presentations assuming this function is brought in house
§ Liaise with Information Services Manager to ensure the marketing intranet pages are accurate and up to date
§ Ensuring pieces of literature available for public access are up to date and presented consistently
§ To comment on and constructively suggest improvements to any marketing and client facing activity at the firm
§ A variety of ad hoc projects associated with a busy department

Qualifications, skills and experience
§ Graduate calibre
§ CIM qualification desirable
§ Previous legal marketing experience
§ Outgoing personality – ‘a people person’
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
§ Excellent attention to detail
§ Self starter
§ Well organised with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
§ Ability to work with people at all levels in the firm
