We are currently recruiting for a UK leading distributor to trade sector who are looking to hire an oustanding product manager to join their team. The company has recently let takeover and goes from strength to strength with a turnover of circa £130m.

My client has about 100 people on site with a multi million pound turnover and are certainly financially robust. They have multiple sales centres across the UK while their products can also be purchased online. 

The role covers the full product lifecycle, maintaining and managing the current product portfolio, as well as responsibility for developing new products for their own brands and also a big emphasis on the marketing communications. It is a small marketing team so there is a great opportunity to get stuck into product launch and all that comes with marketing.

In terms of personality the hiring manager is looking for a team player, someone with a can do attitude and someone who is dynamic and ambitious. The hiring manager is looking or someone with technical aptitude, who is commercial and with solid product management experience. It is essential that you are technically minded and enjoy working within this environment. Negotiation and buying experience would be nice to have but he is not too concerned what industry the person they hire comes from as long as they are the right personality and right experience.

The package is good as well. They are looking to pay circa £25K-£30K plus car plus benefits including 23 days holiday, contributory pension and a discretionary bonus. There will be occasional travel as part of this role.
