Job Description

Our client are a successful utilities business who are currently looking to recruit a Media Services Manager to regional media activity and to develop crisis management strategies to be based out of their North East office.

Reporting into the Communications Manager you will be responsible developing both proactive and reactive news stories for regional media across newspaper, radio and television. You will build strong relationships with local media contacts and work with them to help reduce risk to the business and will be quick to manage any crisis issues that arise. On top of this you will work with schools and local communities to promote energy and safety management to the wider public.

The successful candidate will ideally come from a journalistic background and have experience in PR and media relations. You should have exposure to crisis management strategies and to dealing with local community issues.
