An award winning Communications Agency who have gained the Investors in People Accreditation based in Newcastle are looking to recruit an ambitious and experienced Senior PR Account Manager/Director to add value to their already vibrant and exciting PR Team and work closely with the Director.
Job Purpose
To assist the Director in the growth and management of the company.
Key Responsibilities
To act as second-in-command of the business across commercial and performance tasks.
To develop and deliver exceptional client campaigns, working hands-on and directing a small but highly qualified team.
To develop, and keep regular contact with, a broad commercial network of potential business contacts.
To produce and implement appropriate media and PR activities.
To be confident in proactively advising clients at a senior level over all/any campaign issues, aims or strategies.
Research and write proposals for potential new clients and attend new business presentations as appropriate.
Ensuring own, and team's adherence to quality outcomes on client media campaigns
Supervising the accurate estimating, and thereafter, delivery of, client campaign activities.
Assist the MD in any other management tasks, as and when required
Functional Knowledge
Excellent understanding of PR, branding, and design and how they combine in sophisticated multi-layered campaigns.
Will have an identifiable commercial and professional network in particular B2B.
Will have identifiable network of potential strategic partners over a range of disciplines (research, film, media buying etc).
Understanding of commercial time management and management performance systems
Skills
Excellent communication skills in written and presentation scenarios.
Excellent media planning and organisational skills.
Ability to manage and mentor a small team.
Ability to present professionally and confidently at board level.
Experience in Microsoft Office programmes including Excel, Access and Powerpoint.
Highly literate and accurate in written work and reports.
Creative and innovative thinker.
Supportive, enthusiastic and motivating team leader.
General Background and experience
Proven management track record ideally in well-respected PR/Media agency environment.
Educated to degree level or equivalent work/life experiences.
