Job Description

Our client is is the world's leading provider of software based resources in their field. As a result of substantial growth, they are seeking an ambitious and experienced Head of PR to drive global awareness, differentiation and affinity for the business among the most influential media, thought leaders and decision makers in their market.

The successful candidate will be an excellent stakeholder manager as this role requires working with high level partners to deliver a positive perception of the destination. You will work on an international, national, regional level improving alignment with the regions and local agencies so the business speaks with one voice. An experienced self starter, this person will be confident in their own ability providing support and sharing their experience with the company PR team.

Key role tasks include:

  • Maximise overall positive PR for the destination and the organization
  • Expand beyond a press release drive PR strategy to dimensionalize and elevate the brand.
  • Interpret and analyze company programs and produce tactical action plans accordingly
  • To work closely with internal and key external partners to devise and implement effective and co-ordinated communications campaigns, including negotiating and making decisions of great importance
  • Achieve step change improvements in the press release writing style - resulting in sub optimal pick up rates.
  • Constantly seeking and implementing improvement processes
  • Head large/ cross functional project teams with responsibilities to include planning, budgeting, people management whilst achieving targets

The successful candidate must have the following

  • 10+ years senior PR experience
  • Extensive experience of working with the media at all levels and through all channels
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Experience of end to end handling of PR campaigns
  • Excellent copy writing skills and attention to detail
  • People management experience (will have day-to-day team management responsibility)
  • Business PR experience -ideally at an international level
  • Able to take initiative and drive projects individually and with a team
  • Strong media contacts - ideally national and international
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft Office, News Clipping and reporting services
  • Fluent English - other languages a plus
