The role exists because:
Delivery of the Group strategy is dependent on effective engagement with its core audience. This requires development and delivery of an exceptional, integrated external communications strategy which maximises:
*The promotion and protection of the Group's reputation and brand
*Enhances understanding of, and relationship with, its members and B2C stakeholders.
The organisational plan is dependent on new member acquisition, development and retention. Strong and relevant corporate communications are essential to ensure all business plan objectives are delivered.
The Corporate Communications manager will also be responsible for ad-hock marketing projects as required.
Key responsibilities:
*In conjunction with the Head of Marketing:
oDevelopment and delivery of a B2C Corporate Communications plan Development and management of the Group Crisis Communications plan
oResponsible for the effectiveness of the Corporate Communications Group, including administration and coordination of actions and outputs
oDevelopment and management of media relations
oSupport the Head of Marketing and Brand Manager with the development and delivery of the member engagement plan
oPublic Affairs. Follow policy decisions, legal and regulatory developments that might impact the organisation and Affinity sharing this information with appropriate people in the business.
oDevelop and deliver a Social Media strategy
*Management of Social Media
*Manage the Group Corporate Communications
*Manage PR Agency and the companies central communications
*Work with Internal Communications to ensure corporate communications are aligned, relevant and understood by employees
*Work closely with Executive and Function Heads to identify corporate communication opportunities/threats
*Engage CEO and key Directors to develop & align messages
*Work with Legal and Compliance to ensure communications comply with industry regulations
*Ad-hock key marketing projects with the role holder leading project teams as required
*Sign-off Corporate B2C messages
*Development and delivery of the Annual Review
*Development of the organisations beliefs into a compelling proposition
