This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Analyst
Purpose of the job and its primary objectives:
- To maximise the commercial value of the business through data analysis and market research.
- The role should be aligned to the business objectives, to provide clear and concise business cases, to support growth and development of the customer base and the product offering. Main duties: list details
- To utilise and analyse the business reports specifically around student and school activity, the site performance and customer campaigns.
- This will be delivered through: a) Actively investigating and building knowledge about how the business reports can be used to grow the business and customer base.
b) The appropriate delivery business cases which will support management and support strategic business development.
c) Building additional ad hoc reports (when appropriate), ensure that existing reports continue to meet the needs of the business. N.B this will include the usage of Oracle discoverer and CRM
- Use the data and business reports to provide business development proposals/customer campaign reviews which will demonstrate how the campaign has performed against the original campaign objectives and KPIs as set by the sales and planning team.
- Provide proposals for further development to further enhance the objectives/KPIs or deliver new objectives according to the opportunity presented.
- Liaise with the Account management team to ensure campaign reviews and recommendations are agreed collaboratively to deliver the most appropriate results.
- To meet with customers on a termly basis and present the reviews and recommendations
- To play a proactive role as part of the Business Development team.
- By working with and developing relationships across Business Development/Account Management/Sales/ Schools/ IT teams to: a) Analyse key sectors to support review reports and increase revenue generation/client.
b) Provide core information about sectors to support internal market knowledge and expertise.
c) To help deliver and create business cases to support additional revenue growth and business development
d) To develop the business reporting to support the business moving forward
Core competencies
- Solid experience in using reporting tools, analysing data, identifying trends and producing reports
- Ability to use and think about data creatively
- Experience of Oracle Discoverer is preferable (but not essential)
- Presentation of report results A 2:1 degree in Business / Marketing or Law
