Marketing Coordinator
Purpose
The purpose of this role is to increase brand value and sales through systematic awareness building and promotion. Most of the activities are being done today but across multiple roles. This new role brings focus to marketing activities and reports directly to the Managing Director.
Marketing Responsibilities and Activities
- Support implementation of marketing communications (marcomms) plans for sales channels, e.g. creation and distribution of newsletters, direct mailings;
- Maintain company websites, facebook pages etc;
- Manage existing competitions and develop new ones to meet plans;
- Maintain customer database for maximum integrity and effectiveness as a marketing asset;
- Understand and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, e.g. data protection;
- Other responsibilities as decided from time to time to deliver results.
Management of Relationships
- Work with internal stakeholders to establish their priorities and feed these into plans and actions;
- Create customer surveys to bring qualitative feedback into activities, inform marketing and engage any unsatisfied customers.
- Regularly analyse performance of all marketing assets and activities by customer segment and make appropriate changes or recommendations to improve results.;
- Maintain documentation of marketing processes;
- Maintain and publish marketing schedule to all internal and partner stakeholders.
Performance Metrics
- Website unique visitors, page views and conversion rates;
- Fans and traffic to other web properties eg facebook;
- Total sales revenue;
- Sales revenue per website transaction;
- Customer contacts per order;
- Customer engagement: competition entries, survey completion rates, discussion participation;
- Other as appropriate to improving business performance.
Candidate Profile Required
- Honours Degree in Marketing or Business Studies plus 2 years Marketing experience. CIM qualifications a plus;
- Good communication skills;
- Experience working in a team;
- Confident with Excel, using databases, word processing;
- Happy working in small team environment and with remote colleagues.
- UK resident with EU passport
Compensation
- £18-20k per annum, plus bonus potential up to 15%;
- 20 days paid holiday per year plus bank holidays
About The Good Birth Company
We design and make birthing pools for hospital and home use - a growing segment of the medical device industry. 26% of sales are outside the UK. Sales and marketing is undertaken directly with consumers, with channel partners - e.g. (web address removed) - and health professionals. We keep our operations lean - we have a team of just 4 staff, with warehousing and logistics outsourced to a 3rd party.
