Our client is a leading player in the B2B and B2C Services market. Based in Bucks they are looking to recruit an experienced Product Manager (Services).
Job Summary:
The primary objective of the Product Manager is to optimise the marketing mix for part of the (service) products in order to drive profitable revenue growth.
The Product Manager will be responsible for the planning & management of the full life cycle of products (services). This includes managing the service, the financial performance of the products, all related pricing (in conjunction with the Pricing Manager) & facilitating the interlock with Sales & Operations to maximise profitability.
The Product Manager will develop and manage the product roadmap & is the recognised authority on their products.
Main Responsibilities:
- Be the recognised first point of contact or linkage point for product issues based on a sound working knowledge of the product, customers, market innovations & internal operations & people
- Be responsible for (in conjunction with the Pricing Manager) the pricing strategy for the products & maintain the relevant tariffs & pricing models
- Drive the achievement of the revenue plans by working with Sales to support new business opportunities
- Develop the product proposition & work with the wider marketing team to develop suitable marketing plans and programmes to deliver the revenue plan
- Through sound knowledge of the operating environment for the product, develop & maintain the product roadmap
- Ensure marketing collateral e.g. sales presentations, case studies & tools are available to support the product from launch through lifecycle
- Communicate through a range of means to update & inform Sales of all developments to the product, including competitive activity
- Manage project teams on a virtual basis to deliver the product roadmap, engaging appropriate team members & stakeholders, ensuring clear issue escalation, reporting and timely delivery of milestones
Required:
- A proven background in both business to consumer (primarily) and business-to-business marketing, with extensive Product Management or Product Marketing experience with particular emphasis on creating clearly defined product definitions and proposition development.
- Experience within a service based organisation ideally within B2C industry servicing SME and Corporate markets.
- A hands-on team player, able to take a flexible approach in working with & supporting the wider marketing management team.
- Ability to work effectively at executive level & communicate at all levels.
- Marketing degree & relevant work experience.
- Proven analytical skills.
- Confident with high energy levels.
