Our client is one of the world's most recognisable e-commerce brands with around 84 million active users trading US$60 billion worth of items in 2007 alone. Their UK online marketplace is their third biggest platform in the world, and they continue to focus on their twin aims of innovation and connecting people. These are opportunities to join them as they continue to go from strength to strength.
This is an opportunity to join them in a department focused on defining and implementing an integrated communications strategy that is responsive to customer needs and maximises ROI.
The UK representative for international onsite marketing infrastructure projects and enhancements, shaping and implementing developments at local level, you'll take the lead on planning, creating, deploying and analysing projects that enhance capability and performance, for example, improved targeting/segmentation, algorithmic merchandising and personalised recommendations. And as well as overseeing day-to-day onsite marketing, you'll also have opportunity to influence marketing strategy.
Of degree calibre and with solid experience gained in a blue chip, online marketing/ecommerce environment, you'll bring thorough understanding of internet technologies and a successful track record of managing products and projects. You must also demonstrate strong organisational skills, clear-thinking and the ability to enable good communications with cross-functional and international teams, plus strong analytical and decision-making skills in a metrics driven organisation. Moreover, key to your success will be your customer insight, positive approach to problem-solving, a creative outlook and lots of infectious enthusiasm.
