The Role
Reporting to the Divisional MD, you will be leading a substantial European team responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of new product development encompassing all functions including electronic, hardware, software and systems engineering activities. You will ensure that the organisation remains at the forefront of world class technology development and manufacture, and will provide a lead to experienced managers and specialised hardware and software development teams in defining major technical requirements for new products, and ensuring the delivery of new products on time, and to budget and specification. You will also be responsible for driving programme management capability on complex new projects to improve and reduce new product development time to market and product unit cost, whilst ensuring compliance with demanding standards and specifications.
The person
A proven people manager with a background in electronic product development and/or research, you will possess practical experience of managing hardware and software development teams engaged in complex,mart energy products and systems would be useful, but by no means essential.Successful candidates will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
