Job Description

The purpose:

- Overall responsibility for the effective delivery of all web content in the form of promotional or tactical offers across all Online channels
- Responsible for the increase in customer satisfaction with the sites - measured as part of overall brand satisfaction
- To develop and implement overall usability, accessibility and functionality of the sites from a content perspective
- To ensure consistent design and navigation across all site developments
- To help reduce the site bounce rate with the production and development of targeted content for inbound traffic from a variety of sources including, but not limited to PPC, SEO, E-Mail Marketing and Affiliates
- To drive web content to ensure site is consistent with brand, marketing campaigns, and customer expectations
- To manage key relationships and liaise with colleagues, customers, external partners and contractors
- To liaise with the e-commerce team including developers and database administrators to help scope out technical requirements as part of ongoing content development process
- Employ and cascade down to content team an analytical, commercial awareness and understanding across all activity
- To manage a content team of up to 5
- 3 to 4 years of working within the online industry Travel sector is preferable but not essential
- 2 years experience in website content management (multi language sites) is essential
- Strong analytical skills are essential
- Software experience in Dreamweaver, Visual Studio, Photoshop is desirable
- Working with Microsoft applications is desirable
- Experience of managing and inspiring a team is essential
- Strong commercial and analytics outlook is essential
- Web 2.0 applications is preferable
- Ability to combine the development of strategic plans as well as overseeing the day to day
- Mid-level expertise in the SEM (Search Engine Marketing) / PPC (Pay Per Click) / SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) would be preferable but not essential  
Qualifications/experience required:
 
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.
