Job Description

My client are one of the UK subsidiaries of an international building and decorative products organisation. Having seen considerable growth over a period of years they are now looking to complete their marketing function to increase productivity and ensure success going forward. The position of Marketing Director has resulted through internal promotion and has full control of the marketing team. Heavily involved with the executive team the role combines a strategic and hands on marketing role. As a key member of the Executive team you will responsible for formulating and delivering Marketing strategy and contributing to the overall business leadership. Amongst your responsibilities would be:- - Assessment of market trends to identify relevant issues and future market opportunities or threats - Co-ordination of market intelligence to understands and drive the business to respond to changes in customer needs - Leading the development of innovative solutions reflecting changing customer needs, regulatory conditions and methods of construction through NPD processes - Preparation, implementation and regular review of the business marketing plan to ensure strategic and tactical plans meet business objectives - Leadership and development of the marketing team and advocate for customer focus throughout the business. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate considerable experience and success in a senior Marketing position, ideally within similar market sectors. You will ideally possess a marketing rel event qualification. Proven experience gained in a corporate business to business environment of developing marketing strategy for a size-able m turnover and a proven track record of successful product / service innovation are required for this demanding role. Experience of leading a marketing team is also required as are a demonstrated and proven resoluteness for achievement of goals. This strategically important role has great scope for the right person to make a huge impact on the success of the business.
