Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Web Manager, the Online Marketing Manager will be first and foremost a strong advocate for the customer and dedicated to creating great Web experiences. This position will play a critical role in creating and delivering on the online marketing strategies UK Web Channel, including SEM strategic initiatives. You will work with marketing managers, external designers, copywriters, digital agencies and developers to create compelling, effective, innovative Web experiences that fulfill, and surpass, customer expectations for the purpose of driving revenue on the site and to other channels.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing the production of online content and experiences from product concept through completion. Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams of creative and interaction designers, copywriters, and engineers to ensure that web marketing projects are implemented on schedule, on budget and on brand.
Improving on site and Search experiences for customers through A/B testing.
Work closely with agency partner to develop and execute a winning Search strategy, framing and delivering communication for action to drive cross-functional group and overall business support.
Drive integrated campaigns for Web where search plays a part. Looking across the site, PPC and display, you will work closely with internal partners and agencies to execute, deliver and report back on results.
Formulate business requirements, understand basic technical requirements and assist with quality assurance, ensuring consistency of customer experience.
Understand and contribute to fiscal year revenue/ business goals, including weekly assessment of how/why the company are hitting or missing projections within program areas.
Partner with marketing teams to understand their business goals, prioritize projects based on overall Web goals, communicate this prioritisation clearly to all stakeholders and deliver on expectations.
Understand, manage and report on success metrics (CPC, ROAS, conversion, revenue, and others) for program areas, as well as budget, expenses and forecasting for Search.
Lead and participate in customer-based research as applicable.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelors degree required
At least 2-5 years of experience in a role that significantly shaped consumer Web experiences, an emphasis in SEM and SEO best practices, a definite plus.
Demonstrated ability to formulate business questions and seek solutions based on a combination of inputs including data analysis and user research.
Imperative that candidate has a strong ability to operate independently and efficiently, really own their program area and show passion for what they do.
Ability to understand and set short and long term priorities, focusing on critical few to drive growth.
Must have a curious mind, always challenging and thinking of new ways to get things done.
Skilled at blending multiple disciplines: business strategy and marketing, project management, and user design.
Comfortable working with web engineers and technical issues.
We are a small close knit team, so must have great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive communication and consensus in a cross-functional environment.
Experience with Content Management Systems, Site Catalyst, Test and Target, and Google Analytics and Search tools, a plus. A/B testing experience
