There is plenty of scope for promotion as the public sector team is constantly growing; they are currently looking to expand at the upper levels, including Account Director, Associate Director and Director. You should have proven PR experience in the public sector, targeting the consumer directly through powerful campaigns. The public sector team are also starting to delve into corporate and b2b communications for some clients, so experience in these areas would be interesting although not essential. Recent work from the agency has spawned some of the most popular buzzwords of this year and has had a clear impact on consumer behaviour. In sum, you should be accustomed to handling strategic consumer campaigns at a senior level for high-profile public sector clients. PR agency experience is a prerequisite and obviously you should be passionate about media relations whilst maintaining an interest in public issues and current affairs.
