Job Title: Senior Manager, Business & Partnership Development team
Job Purpose: A major international credit card company is looking for a senior manager to design and deliver commercial proposals to retain and grow the companies existing payment business together with winning new business from its competitors. The approach is designed to improve the overall capability as an organisation and enable the business to protect and improve point of sale, market share and profitability metrics under increased competitive pressure. In addition, the team manages Retailer relationships for the company and the role holder will be expected to manage several retail partners.
Main Responsibilities:
1)Qualify and develop existing/new business opportunities
2)Undertake analysis, research and business planning by member and market
3)Write the commercial business case document
4)Develop and implement sales tools and training. Enhance capability through continuous refinement of process
5)Proactively manage retail relationships to deliver revenue growth for the business
Summary of Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Degree level education/Marketing qualification/MBA. Additional European language (Italian/Spanish/Eastern European) preferred but not required
Experience of broadly based marketing and business development experience gained in blue chip commercial environments
Financial services, Retail banking, Retail or Consultancy experience would be beneficial, exercised at a senior level
Skills/experience:
·Good understanding of UK and European market dynamics with a strong framework of contacts across the European banking/retail environment
·Cards industry knowledge and/or knowledge of the retail financial services market
·Good communications skills combined with maturity and cultural sensitivity to be credible at all levels, including the ability to influence Senior Executives
·Team player
·High personal impact, presence and profile
·Comfortable in leading or working as part of a cross divisional team
·Entrepreneurial flair
·Commercial acumen and astuteness
·Numeracy and analytical aptitude
·Vision/innovation and creativity
·Presentational and written communication skills
