Temporary Marketing Assistant - Gatwick, South London, West Sussex, Surrey - 4 - 8 weeks Excellent opportunity, client a large reputable legal firm are looking for a temporary Marketing Assistant for a period od 4-8 weeks. Working in the Marketing Group and reporting to the Marketing Manager, this temporary role will involve delivering the marketing plan, which supports the firm’s strategy. The main focus is on client retention and converting targets.
To help achieve these goals the firm has a marketing database to ensure that regular contact is maintained with both private and commercial clients and referrers, plus commercial prospects. The marketing database is part of an integrated system, which also includes Accounts and Case Manager.
2. Responsibilities and Duties
2.1 Maintaining the database and eliminating duplicates
2.2 Being alert to changes in the firm and their impact on the marketing database
2.3 Working with IT, Accounts and Case Manager experts to resolve database issues
2.4 Developing the database – amending and adding marketing codes as required
2.5 Managing, supporting and training group database administrators
2.6 Analysing client data and manipulating Excel spreadsheets
2.7 Producing clear reports so that fee earners can analyse marketing activity such as hospitality events and direct mail campaigns
2.8 Selecting and managing data for ebulletins, seminars and hospitality events, monitoring responses and circulating to appropriate staff.
2.9 Regularly reviewing and enhancing data, including the adding of email addresses
2.10 Monitoring new client opening
2.11 Manipulating research data from on-line data sources and sourcing prospect lists
2.12 Managing data input projects
2.13 Introducing a system for online satisfaction surveys and automated analysis. Analysis of Client Satisfaction Surveys including feedback for staff and clients
2.14 Updating website content as supplied by BDOs and Marketing Manager, implementing changes to the site following the Marketing Manager’s review.
2.15 Main point of contact with website designers / content management providers
2.16 Checking website enquiries box on a daily basis.
2.17 Writing general marketing communications from time to time and attending hosted events.
3. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
3.1 String communication skills
3.2 Excellent IT skills, including Excel, website content management
3.3 Database experience essential
3.4 Previous marketing experience desirable and/or a Marketing qualification
3.5 Ideally experience of working in a professional services organisation
3.6 Excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills essential, together with good organisational skills
