Our client, a high profile financial services company, is looking to recruit a Community Director. This is a newly created role for the organisation, and will work closely with the COO.
This is a key role for the organisation, and will be responsible for advising senior managers on the development of a charity and volunteering framework. You will be expected to engage with all employees to enhance the role that the organisation plays in the local communities in which it operates through volunteering activities. This role will be responsible for promoting fundraising events globally and will nominate charity of the year. You will also seek to encourage staff to use their specialist skills to engage with the local community, and advise staff on community activities they can get involved in. This individual will be expected to engage with local community organisations and charities to explore partnership and volunteering opportunities.
The ideal candidate must have specialist knowledge and contacts in the charity world. We would consider candidates who have worked in charities and have been responsible for corporate partnerships; alternatively we would also consider candidates with a banking or financial services background, who have been in a similar CSR role.
