Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:                              Vice President, Marketing

Reports To:                         Group President

Location:                              India

The Client

The client is developing a "city within a city" in India. A 125 acre integrated township; a first of its kind in India - truly integrated urban life spaces of 20 million sq ft, covering commercial, residential, retail and hospitality, and with a school and a hospital. Land is fully acquired with title and zoned. Already master planned, the City has a richly layered grain, comprising a series of clustered communities with public parks and wide streets that fuse seamlessly with an efficient transport and road network extending to and across the site. A self-contained city, there will be stadia, sport facilities, a concert hall, health facilities, souks, as well as malls and big-box retail, entertainment and other amenities serving the community. The project incorporates an iconic tower - the tallest mixed-use tower in the city - which will establish a distinctive symbol for this new urban destination on the city skyline.

Personnel Background

I.   Senior-level business development, marketing and commercial director.

II.  Market experience includes Residential, Commercial, Retail, Infrastructure or the built   environment

III. Track record of successful brand-building/brand development to generate growth, market share and bottom-line profit.

IV. Detailed experience of client/customer insight work, CRM, key account management, bids and proposals etc.

V.  Excellent understanding of international markets and cultures,

VI. Strong "people management" experience, leading/managing substantial teams in previous roles.                                                                                                                                                      

Position Responsibilities

Direct firm's overall marketing and strategic planning programs, and corporate communications.  Facilitate client development through marketing and client services programs.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Design, implement, and facilitate marketing and sales plans for the firm.  Support and facilitate development and implementation of section business/marketing and sales plans.

2. Recruit, build and train strong sales teams. Develop sales training programmes for the sales staff and ensure that they are well trained and effectively carry out the sales efforts towards the goal of obtaining quality results, which are sustainable over time.

3. Participate actively in branding and brand development.

4. Business Development, building partnerships both internally and externally, stakeholder management

5. Plan and administer the firm's Marketing Operations budgets.

6. Organize and implement client relations including:

  • customer development activities
  • special events

7. Participate in planning and presentation sessions. He must be able to make strong presentations of the key features of the development to industry leaders in one-on-one meetings and in conferences, for selling corporate office and retail space.

8. Oversee business development activities including:

  • efforts through Business Development Coordinator
  • assisting IPCs in strategic planning for client presentations, beauty contests, etc.
  • offer coaching for prospective client meetings, presentations, etc.
  • work with regional offices on designing and implementing prospecting and client contact systems.

9. Oversee corporate communications activities through a PR agency including:

  • external communications and systems
  • internal communications and systems
  • public relations efforts
  • external vendors and consultants

10. Develop and administer marketing database which includes client and prospect information, mailing list applications, access to financial reports, etc.

11. Oversee firm's electronic marketing efforts including supervision of Web site design and maintenance.

12. Make staffing and hiring decisions within marketing department.

Educational Requirements:
You ideally will have a relevant degree or MBA but this is not an essential requirement.

Location:

The project is based in India but you will be required to travel internationally.
