SAS Analytics Manager (Customer & Product)

SAS Insights Manager Overview:
SAS Analysis Manager required by this hugely successful International Retail Bank. Your team will specialise in the development, validation and ongoing improvement of complex customer segmentation frameworks and statistical models to provide critical insights into customer behaviours, product performance and emerging trends. Your aim will be to work in close conjunction with your team, to improve the analytical techniques and approaches being used, e.g. segmentation frameworks, statistical modelling techniques e.g. propensity modelling, CHAID etc, in addition to product and category managers to improve their understanding of product performance, market trends, new product development etc (key product lines will include credit cards, loans, mortgages and accounts).
The Person:
Well suited to a sharp minded, strategically driven analytical manager with a proven background in Financial Services / Retail Banking. You will display the following skills:
- Ability to lead and develop a team of advanced statistical (SAS based) analysts. You will have a detailed understanding of statistical analysis & data mining techniques e.g. predictive modelling, segmentations, profiling etc in a SAS environment. You will display a knowledge of applying analytics to strategy to provide recommendations and insights into key areas such as: acquisitions and retentions, churn, LTV, CVM, Portfolio Management, Product Management, New Product Development etc
- In addition to SAS, skills in, or an understanding of SQL, SPSS etc would be useful
- Proven Line Management Responsibility
- Background / Experience in a relevant industry sector. At this level you MUST have a strong background in financial services, retail banking or similar. You will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of key products e.g. credit cards, loans, accounts etc and appreciate the challenges faced within the financial services / banking markets
- Clear, concise and pragmatic approach to delivering actionable, data driven strategies at board level. You must have experience of encouraging a business to embrace and apply the use of customer driven data to ongoing strategy and provide ongoing guidance and improvement of data driven strategies for product, sales and marketing and risk teams.
