Commercial Distribution Manager
ŁAttractive Base + bonus + benefits | Canary Wharf or Northampton
One step ahead
Credit cards have been around longer than you might think. Ever since 1966, in fact. For over 40 years, that small piece of plastic has brought safety and convenience to the nation's spending. But it might not surprise you to learn there's been one name behind this milestone and every one since - Barclaycard. And today, some 15 million customers throughout the UK benefit from our reputation for being one step ahead. That's why we're leading a revolution in the way people pay for goods and services which will have as big an impact as the introduction of plastic' decades ago. This revolution will mean that payments will be "smoother, slicker, simpler and safer", and that shoppers and shops, diners and restaurants, buyers and sellers, retailers and consumers will all be able to benefit.
One great opportunity
While our numbers might be growing by the day, there are still areas for improvement here at Barclaycard. That's why, as Commercial Distribution Manager, you'll know how to get underperforming products to reach the sort of targets that will keep us leading the market. Actively managing your range of products, you'll monitor performance across every channel, then identify opportunities to close sales gaps and put improvement plans into action. You'll also provide valuable commercial support, helping create marketing plans and introducing new initiatives to grow sales wherever possible. And you'll make the most of our position within the Barclays Group as a whole, working closely with colleagues across a number of areas to integrate and align Barclaycard plans.
One person for the job
In a market as competitive as ours, it's no easy task being successful across every channel. But it's the target we've set ourselves and means you'll need expertise in sales and supplier management, not to mention proven marketing and product management experience. It's preferred you have some knowledge of financial services, but what's really important is that you be qualified in marketing, communications or business admin and take accountability for the performance of your team and yourself. And if you're the sort of character people look up to, with a real appreciation for the customer expectations, so much the better.
One option
It's quite simple, really. We want the best talent to keep us moving forward and you want the sort of challenge you've been after for as long as you can remember. And we're sure you won't mind the sort of bonus and benefits you only get with a market leader. All that's left now is to get in touch and tell us why there should be only one option for us, too.
