One step ahead
Credit cards have been around longer than you might think. Ever since 1966, in fact. For over 40 years, that small piece of plastic has brought safety and convenience to the nation's spending. But it might not surprise you to learn there's been one name behind this milestone and every one since - Barclaycard. And today, some 15 million customers throughout the UK benefit from our reputation for being one step ahead. That's why we're leading a revolution in the way people pay for goods and services which will have as big an impact as the introduction of plastic' decades ago. This revolution will mean that payments will be "smoother, slicker, simpler and safer", and that shoppers and shops, diners and restaurants, buyers and sellers, retailers and consumers will all be able to benefit.
One great opportunity
We know that Barclaycard is a great product. But at the same time, we're never content to rest on our laurels. Which is why we're so committed to coming up with ever-more innovative ones. And that's where you come in. It will be down to you to research and develop new cross-sale products, keeping a close eye on the market and consumer studies to make sure we never miss an opportunity. You'll need to translate the product requirements and ensure that we deliver on them, always meeting the right regulatory, strategic, brand and compliance standards.
One person for the job
This is no small challenge, so we'll be looking for plenty of different skills. It goes without saying that you'll bring proven experience in marketing and new product development. You'll also need a good understanding of sales channel management along with skills in contract negotiations, marketing planning and strategy, and P&L management. A natural communicator, you'll be adept at influencing and negotiating with multi-disciplinary teams internally, and key suppliers externally. Above all, you'll be committed to coming up with the kind of solutions that will ensure our cross-sale products are always second-to-none.
One option
It's quite simple, really. We want the best talent to keep us moving forward and you want the sort of challenge you've been after for as long as you can remember. And we're sure you won't mind the sort of bonus and benefits you only get with a market leader. All that's left now is to get in touch and tell us why there should be only one option for us, too.
