The opportunity:

The Strategic Marketing team are looking to recruit a Market Insight Executive to join their small but highly successful team in Farnborough. This role will suit an individual with strong analysis and research background who is interested in looking at growth opportunities within a commercial business environment. You will work closely with our Partnership and Broker teams and will therefore need to travel to our Fareham offices regularly.

 

Reporting into the Head of Consumer Insight this role is responsible for building a competitive advantage for Zurich through analysis of the competitive environment, with a particular emphasis on market and company/competitor analytics to drive business strategy. You will develop and communicate insight into current or prospective stakeholders such as commercial customers, competitors, distributors, strategic partners or other organisations.

This may take the form of individual company analysis, segment analysis or industry-wide overviews. With key emphasis on forming a view of strategic implications and options, with projections for business opportunities. Through this activity you will work with experts across Zurich and externally reporting or presenting your findings to key stakeholders including Business Heads. You will manage your own workload which will include set reporting activity as well as ad hoc duties that can emanate from Executive level.

About you:

Successful candidates will bring to the role proven experience in insight analysis and be able to demonstrate strong report writing skills in both written as well as graphical formats. It goes without saying verbal communication skills should be exemplary. Experience of working with primary and secondary data is imperative along with an organised and timely approach to analysis.

Ideally candidates will have a financial background or be able to provide evidence of an understanding of how financial organisations operate and demonstrable experience of interpreting company reports and financial data therefore numeracy skills must be high.
