A fantastic opportunity to join a small marketing company situated in the heart of Covent Garden. They are looking for an enthusiastic team player with the drive, ambition and self motivation to be an efficient and effective member of their Purchasing team.
A methodical and highly organised approach to work is essential, with the tenacity and commitment to take ownership of responsibilities and prioritise workloads.
Previous experience working confidently with Far Eastern suppliers and shipping logistics knowledge would be an advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Managing and administrating orders from beginning to end, including amendments
- Ensuring documents are accurate at all times
- Professionally and effectively work with suppliers, mainly in the Far East, and freight handlers
- Keeping Access database, spreadsheets and files up-to-date
- Ensuring all files and samples are neat, tidy and kept up-to-date
ESSENTIAL:
- Previous experience within a fast paced administrative / support role
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Solid IT knowledge: Word; Excel, Outlook - Access database knowledge an advantage
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously, whilst also working effectively within a team environment
- Considerate team player
- Ability to forge internal / external working relationships
- Flexible in approach to work
