Job Description

Following a period of exponential business growth, we are now looking to appoint a Marketing Director for this fast growing professional services organisation.

 

This position reports directly to the Board so as a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) you will be expected to provide input into translating the businesses vision and objectives into a multi disciplined, cross functional marketing strategy.

 

Strategy will focus on the areas of brand positioning, market share, customer acquisition and retention.  In order to support the business in meeting these objectives you will be expected to work with (and involve) all key stakeholders to ascertain individual objectives (for example legal constraints/sales forecasts/customer relationships and margin) and from this develop Through The Line marketing plans and take real ownership for delivery. 

 

Resources available to you will include a £1m marketing budget and highly competent marketing team.  The business typically doesn't rely on external agencies and therefore you will be expected to demonstrate how you have previously turned strategy into effective marketing plans, how you have led your team in the implemention of them and the methods of measurement which would denote a success.

 

The position requires the successful individual to have a background across the entire marketing mix (internal and external comms would be a benefit).  In addition to this you will be likely to hold a MBA or similar postgraduate qualification and be able to use your intellect and commercial nouse to influence at the highest level.

 

You may currently be working for a larger professional or business services organisation and be looking for more influence and accountability.  Alternativelym you may be working for a fast paced dynamic B2B services company where you utilise the Marketing Mix.
