Senior Affinities Marketing Manager, Marketing

This leading financial services organisation in central Cardiff are seeking an experienced Partnerships / Affinities Manager with stakeholder and man-management experience.
It is an exciting and new opportunity that has arisen recently, with opportunity to make a difference easily in a business still small enough to be interestingly entrepreneurial.
Role purpose:
Accountable for the delivery of General Insurance, Investment and Protection products manufactured through partners to meet the financial objectives on other income.
Key Accountabilities:
Responsibilities and Tasks
1. Manage ongoing relationship with partners and agree delivery of a combined business plan. Core third party products and services include:
- Regulated investments
- Protection
- General Insurance
2. Evaluate current and potential commercial opportunities for the delivery of third party products and services to target customer segments
3. Evaluate and recommend preferred third party providers based on organizational fit, product and service delivery and commercial terms
4. Negotiation of commercial terms and contractual agreements with third party providers. Manage the delivery and implementation of new products and services to market
5. In consultation with the Sales Director, evaluate and align the distribution model for the provision of third party products and services
6. Development of business plans to deliver the business' objectives on fee income
7. Forge relationships with key stakeholders in the business and partners to deliver product developments and improvements to the sales process
8. Evaluate and determine appropriate management information and controls that tracks the delivery against business objectives and monitors consumer outcomes to ensure the fair treatment of customers
9. Acknowledged as the business' product and market expert within the investment, protection and GI marketplace

1. Deliver strong commercial terms, better than par
2. Deliver objectives against fee income
3. Customer outcomes measured and evaluated
Relationship through partners delivers added value through training resources, marketing spend, account management, customer insight and market intelligence

General Insurance and Financial Planning background required
Marketing and partnerships experience
You must have proven management experience, strong investment, protection and general insurance knowledge and excellent commercial acumen.
The right candidate will combine a number of key characteristics including strong technical skills, excellent market knowledge including the regulatory framework, a proven record of delivering ambitious targets and the gravitas to deal with senior people internally and externally.
The nature of the individually will demand high standards of delivery and expect a lot from partners. Must be able to influence others to achieve results
Qualifications and technical expertise
Degree level
Ideally hold both Certificates in Financial Planning and Insurance CII. At the very least must have a excellent knowledge of investment product structures, tax wrappers, protection and household insurance. Knowledge needs to include pricing structures
Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
