The role holder has responsibility for co-ordinating, leading and managing internal resources to enable the successful delivery of target clients and identifying new opportunities to expand market share.
Knowledge/Skills & Experience
Essential
·Detailed knowledge and experience of working within a corporate partnerships / B2B distribution channel environment.
·Hold existing relationships with some clients / prospects in UK creditor market
·Full understanding of the regulatory regime that currently exists in the UK creditor industry and its possible implications
·Sound experience in new business, marketing, PR preparation, direct marketing and account relationship management
·Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation and presentation skills to be used with potential clients at a senior / board level in winning tender initiatives and developing new relationships
·Ability to develop and influence internal stakeholders (e.g. Pricing, Finance, PR team, Client management, Legal)
·Strong personal presence to make a positive impact both internally with colleagues and senior management, and externally with prospective clients
·Proven ability in constructing tender responses for third parties both written and oral with an understanding of the pricing and financial structure within the response
·High level of time management / Diary management skills given the nature of the role and its requirements on significant UK travel
Desirable
·ACII and/or business management qualification
·Consulting and contracting experience with third parties.
·Previous experience of Board-level negotiation
·E commerce experience
Principle Accountabilities
·Support the Director-Sales & Marketing to develop Partnerships business to be the first choice for potential clients and partners within the UK creditor market
·In conjunction with Director- Sales & Marketing identify, develop and maintain an extensive relationship network with potential clients across a range of industry sectors including Building Societies, financial, utility and retail organisations as well as industry specific consultants
·Identify and introduce new prospects / products using internal and external resources.
·Using detailed market knowledge, manage the monitoring of current and development of new partnerships proposition to implementation
·Provide direct input into the formation and delivery of the New Business plan.
·Manage the New Business prospect database and Sales Library
·Promote us in a positive manner both internally and externally
·Liaison with internal PR department to ensure appropriate promotion of us externally
·Lead, manage and motivate any direct reports and other colleagues ensuring that they work collaboratively with the jobholder
·Be a relationship manager with all internal departments
·Maintain procedures undertaken within the department in accordance with the current internal Risk and Regulatory regime in existence
Other requirements
·Ability to travel extensively throughout the UK with some overnight stays required
·Current clean UK driving licence
·Deputise for Director Sales & Marketing as appropriate
