Senior Account Executive PR - up to £25k pa depending on experience - Knowle, Nr Birmingham
Our client is a technical PR and advertising agency specialising in marketing communications and B2B publicity in both Western and Eastern Europe, the USA and Asia and are now looking for a PR Senior Account Executive to join their client services team. The agency focuses on the electronics, industrial engineering and manufacturing sectors. Some of their blue chip clients include: Sandvik Coromant, Toshiba, Tektronix and Panasonic.
The Senior Account Executive provides reliable support to other members of the team whilst at the same time being helped to develop his/her skills. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- compile and manage client media lists and take on responsibility for distribution of client news releases by post & email.
- press clippings identification / scanning / delivery to client.
- liaise with third-party suppliers such as designers, printers, photographers, venues/catering etc.
- assist in organising press briefings, photocalls and other events.
- maintain adequate supplies of client collateral such as paper, literature, folders and, where relevant, product samples.
- ensure that filing systems (both paper and electronic) are well organised and up to date.
- take ownership of and self-prioritise responsibilities to ensure these are effectively managed and delivered on time to team members, clients or other parties.
- proactively run the features programme by monitoring all relevant forthcoming features and tackling opportunities to ensure ideas are sold in and relevant client information is provided ahead of the deadline.
- be responsible for maintaining client status reports, ensuring other team members have contributed before sending to clients on time.
- have strong media contacts in areas relevant to client activity and proactively take advantage of opportunities to regularly meet key journalists face-to-face, either socially and/or as part of a client event.
- excel at and have ownership of responsibilities, without the need for daily input from an account manager/director.
