A challenging opportunity with a newly formed team, supporting the Head of Media Relations in ensuring the effective implementation of the M edia Relations strategy and operational plans.
- You will be comfortable working with Senior management and delivering to Corporate expectations.
- Act as a "first line" media spokesman, ensuring that incoming media enquiries are dealt with responsively and professionally, involving colleagues in specific businesses within the Bank and/or corporate affairs teams when necessary.
- Develop and maintain personal contacts with key journalists to ensure that the Bank achieves a proportionate "share of voice" in media coverage of relevant topics.
- Work with the Director of Corporate Affairs and the Head of Media Relations to execute a proactive programme for CEO, cluster CEOs and other senior leaders in line with the reputation drivers.
- Manage all media relations communications for the Bank's major strategic initiatives and announcements, engaging and escalating to the Group media relations team in line with established governance and control procedures.
- Ensure alignment and coordination of Media relations strategies with the overall Media strategy and Group Messaging.
- Define Media relations requirements within clusters for specific pieces of work.
- Develop and maintain media relations plans in support of specific business objectives.
