Trusts and Grants Fundraisers
Our client a leading National charity is seeking to recruit 2 Trusts and Grants Fundraisers.
Scope and purpose of position
To create, maintain and improve fundraising opportunities with Trusts and Grant-making bodies, in order to meet fundraising and relationship needs.
Duties and responsibilities
You will devise plans to develop and strengthen relationships with current and past Trustsupporters and research, identify, prioritise and approach new prospective Trusts in order to meet agreed financial and relationship targets. You will take charge of the production of high quality written appeals, for a variety of projects, tailored specifically for each Trust supporter.
For specific projects (including national campaigns, regional appeals, capital projects and core services) you will plan, implement and manage campaigns. The successful candidate will:
· Devise communication strategies to gain long-term relationships with trusts
· Research, plan and implement events that will permit face-to-face opportunities with Trustees, in order to strengthen personal relationships with RNLI
· Research, plan and implement approach strategies to people of influence that may help facilitate relationship-building with Trustees
· In order to strengthen trusts relationship with RNLI, produce timely thank you letters, project update reports and items of interest to supporters, plus make timely telephone calls in response to donations and other significant trust activities
· Provide excellent customer service levels to supporters
It is essential that you have a good understanding of fundraising from trusts and grant-making bodies, including statutory funding and lottery funding. You should also have excellent written skills, including the ability to create appeal documents, project update reports and tailored thank you letters.
Excellent interpersonal and social skills will be allied to strong self-management skills (including the ability to manage a trust portfolio to deadlines and budgets and to high level of customer care).
With good research and analysis skills, you will use the internet and published information to extract appropriate information from raw data to create appeal documents and develop knowledge of trustees.
