Communications and HQ Events Officer (Marketing) BLUC3128

Circa £23,000 - £25,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

They are currently looking for a Communications and HQ Events Officer to join their team. Working within the Policy and External Relations Directorate based at their Head Office in Ascot, you will develop and manage all their internal communications including the employee communications programme, and will be involved in the development and creation of a new Intranet. Responsible for writing, scheduling, approving and reporting on all bulk email communications to members and other key audiences, you will also research and write HQ newsletters throughout the year.
You will also be responsible for the planning and execution of key HQ events, working within their brand guidelines and delivering results of a consistently high standard. You will brief, manage and negotiate with external suppliers, ensure events are ready on time and within budget and produce comprehensive post-event reports.
Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent in Marketing or holding a CIM qualification, you will bring to the role considerable experience of B2B and/or B2C marketing and communications, along with branding or brand development experience gained on either the client or agency side.
With highly developed organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, you will be numerate and commercially astute and will bring proven copywriting, editing and proof reading skills to the role along with experience of delivering oral presentations and knowledge of print management. IT literate, you will be a competent user of Microsoft Office. Basic InDesign skills would also be desirable, as would experience of working with data, generating new lists and leads and market segmentation. With the ability to work well under pressure, you will be able to prioritise effectively in order to meet deadlines and will be flexible, willing to work outside of office hours as and when required.
