My client an environmental not for profit organisation is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager. As a successful candidate you will play a key role as a member of the commercial team. You will be responsible for the management and development of all business activities within designated accounts.
You possess a proven track record of successful business development and an extensive knowledge of the key players within their specific funding agencies.
Working alongside colleagues in both marketing and the individual business units, through successful teamwork, you will develop and implement plans to grow the organisations presence, revenue and profits with designated Key Accounts and contribute to the achievement of operational and strategic objectives for all of the business units.
Key Accountabilities;
- Deliver annual revenue budgets and increased profits from their nominated Key Accounts. In line with agreed account plans
- Identify, establish and maintain a network of contacts within identified Key Accounts, providing support and ensuring relationships are managed professionally in order to develop profitable and growing business
- Develop and implement account plans for each of your target Key Accounts
- Work closely with colleagues in each Business Unit, so as to provide commercial input to
business decisions
- Develop and deliver business development strategies for existing portfolio and new services offerings
- Identify, recommend and win support for business opportunities development which reflect and respond to customer demand
Knowledge & Skills needed;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Knowledge of at least one of the major development agencies and funding bodies
- Business Development and Management Skills
- Networking, relationship building and Client Management
