My client a national charity is seeking a pro-active and forward thinking Communications and Marketing Manager to assist them with an organisational re-brand. This is 6 month temporary contract with the possibility of extension. My client requires the successful candidate assist them with a rebranding process. In particular they will be responsible for researching and writing content for company literature, updating the website, assisting with the annual report as well as working with design agencies to manage the re-branding process. They require someone with a strong writing skills who is also able to manage the marketing projects.
Knowledge & Qualifications needed
- Educated to at least A level standard.
- Knowledge of the adult support sector would be useful but not essential.
Experience needed
- Demonstrable experience in a publicity, journalism or marketing environment
- Experience of researching and writing case studies, articles and reports in a range of styles
- Experience of generating pro-active promotional opportunities in a good news environment
- Experience of working with printers and designers to produce high quality publications
Skills and Abilities needed
- Able to write clear, high quality persuasive copy to deadline in a range of styles.
- Able to grasp complex and sometimes technical information and present it clearly and confidently in written and verbal format.
- Able to think creatively and work pro-actively to produce fresh ideas and innovative approaches to publicising the charities activities.
- Able to prioritise and deliver excellent and consistent 'customer service' in response to conflicting demands
- Strong interpersonal skills, including building and maintaining relationships, influencing others and working across departments and teams.
- Good level of numeracy and understanding of budgeting.
- Computer literate and ability to use databases, email, spreadsheets and word processing
