Director of Marketing and Business Development

Edinburgh

£40,000 - £50,000 (relocation package may be available)

Our client is a membership-based registered charity with the aim of advancing the conservation of Scotland's biodiversity for the benefit of present and future generations. 

The new post of Director of Marketing and Business Development has been created to provide them with the expertise, inspiration, leadership and innovation to develop new and existing business opportunities, to enhance the Trust's profile and improve their communication with members, supporters, customers and other stakeholders.  The post holder will be part of the Trust's Senior Management Team and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the future success of a high profile and high achieving charity.

The successful candidate should be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) preferably in Marketing or Business and will have ideally completed a recognised management training programme.  With a successful track record in strategic planning you will have previously held a Senior Management position relating to marketing, business development or communications.  As an inspirational leader and efficient people manager you will get the best out of your team and be able to work effectively and inspirationally with a wide cross-section of staff and other stakeholders. You will be adept at creative thinking, have an astute analytical ability, and be an accomplished communicator.
